A few days ago I heard a news broadcast featuring a Black elected official who had 15 members who were either sick with or who had died from COVID-19/SARS2. How this young man was treated at two of the medical providers was most likely based on his appearance. This is not an acceptable standard for medical care. He needed to be asked about what type of work he did? Who was in his home? Could he safely self-isolate while being properly monitored? My condolences to the young widow and her weeks old new born. My fury and rage are directed at the systems that allow such a shameful excuse for a health care system cost the lives of working class people, especially people of color.
