Amazing summation of the nature of the problem. Now three responses:

First — demand the immediate resignation of the Secretary of Homeland Security. She should have been ousted last summer which is the set up for this Jacklin’s tragic death.

Second — Send investigators to Guatemala, which has been deeply troubled for many years. We the people need to know what is so bad that parents are rising their lives and the lives of their children to escape.

Third — Force HSA to establish intake protocols designed to meet the needs of all people not just “single young men”. Suggestion: immediately deploy trained medics to assist with the individualized assessment of any detainee group of 5 or more or that includes children under 10.
