For so much of the last Presidential Election cycle, I was shocked that so many “conservatives” were turning blind eyes and ears to what candidate Donald Trump was saying. Your position is well stated. Perhaps what is needed is an American Conservative political party that will allow a consistent perspective to be presented and will clearly differentiate between populist syndicalism and “toeing” some party line.
