My first response to the allegations against R. Kelly, many many years ago was to refuse to have anything to do with his work. It meant not watching one of my favorite movies, Space Jam, but that was a movie. Now in my own life I am examining how I tolerated inappropriate conduct from someone I cared about deeply. It worth understaning that abusers use your fear of what law enforcement will to do them to keep you from acting in your own best interests.

The culture of tolerating abuse has to be stopped.
