The Empress Maria Theresa of Austria was the last of the Hapsburgs and literally the Mother or grandmother of much of Europe’s royalty in the 18th and 19th centuries. She was essentially continuously pregnant for 20 years and was fighting wars and trying to keep her empire intact at the same time. She had her faults but one of this was not letting being pregnant get in the way of governing an empire. Prima multi-tasker absoluta.
