What’s really risky is the extent to which the normalizing of violence fuels any sense of unhappiness and frustration in even “normal” individuals. Yes, the high profile violence that may be incited by such talk is bad, but so much of the violence happens in little ways, behind closed doors usually impacting people with no power to fight back or even escape.
